CASH (aka Clipboard ONE)
Handle the money and the comp list
(including volunteers and talent)
This is a Work/Trade postition for the ELYSEUM Workshop.
VOLUNTEER AND TALENT COORDINATOR (aka Clipboard TWO)
Wrangling the volunteers and checking in with talent.
Informing volunteers of where they need to be and when.
Finding the relief volunteers when shifts change.
Also, handling the sign ups for the open list.
(This responsiblity may be divided with someone else
who is in the Workshop for work/trade at Amanda discretion)
PHOTOGRAPHY
Taking pretty pictures of all the pretty people (-and Jim as well...)
SET UP
Arrive early to help decorate and arrange furnishing/seating
for the reading.
BOTTOM DOOR (SECURITY)
Check people at the door. Make sure they are here specifically for ELYSEUM.
Also, be ready to help in removing people who aren't adhering to the charter.
TOP DOOR (CHARTER/GREET)
Greet our guests after they've give donation.
Run the charter ("house rules") by them
and be sure they agree to them before they enter.
WALK AROUND HOST/USHER
Your primary responsiblity will be to show the guests where everything is.
You will also be keeping an eye open and cleaning up trash and messes
as the evening goes by. If they have booze to check early in the evening
(before 10) you will be labeling their bottles.
You will also be checking in with the Top Door persons,
the Bottom Door persons and the Bar Check if they need a break or whatnot.
BAR CHECK
We do not serve alcohol. We only check wine or beer of the guests.
You will monitor the bar area and keep an eye on things in the lounge area.
CLEAN UP
If someone can help clean up the next day, that would be great.
If it is a terrible mess, we will have to hire someone as well.
EVERYONE VOLUNTEERING
Should pitch in to help each other.
We will need to do a quick breakdown of the front room
after the reading/performance so we can transition smoothly into Party Mode.
Cleaning up as the night goes on will be everyones responsiblity.
Oh yeah... we are going to need a microphone stand and a music stand.
Again... many hands make ligher work!
and write down what you prefer to do. I will confirm with each of you.

Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Sun, March 12, 2006 - 7:41 PMI'll gladly, in this preference:
Top Door
Walk Around.Usher
Bar check
'Twould be greatly appreciated if someone could show the ropes to the new girl. I'll think the opening shift would work better with my personality, but I'll leave the issue up to the discretion of the more experienced.

I would love to pair you two up in complementary duties if he's down for that
but I don't want to assume he will be volunteering.
He does so much there at MC already.
But I DO want to hear his POETRY! -

Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 9:13 PMI'll just tell ya what the charter is on photos...
Don't take pics of people doing anything "intimate".
(-You know what THAT means...)
Seems like common sense, but it does have to be spelled out
for those with "selective sense".
CelestialGrrl, you been braggin' bout this bad-ass camera
-can't wait to see what you can do with it!
-something tells me that you have a great eye... I think its from our discussions.
photography is about ATTENTION
and YOU know how to pay attention!
THATS why I sense you can rock at photography! -

Wed, March 15, 2006 - 1:07 PMThat's coolio, if you think you can deal with Jimberly...
You'll kinda be helping out with charter/greet as well
as long as no one out there has "chrissyhindsophobia"
you'll be fine. -
-
Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 1:54 PMOh crap I didn't know I would have to work with Jimberely - DAMN HA HA I am sure I will be able to tolorate him for a couple hours. -
-
Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 4:13 PMIf I can tolerate him for days upon days, then you can tolerate him for a couple of hours!
The key is to sing obnoxious songs from SouthPark if he starts to get on your nerves. -
-
Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 4:37 PMI draw the line at working with Munchkin's, Pirates and/or Texans, but now you're sticking me with all of them! Can you find me someone a little less abrasive, obnoxious and/or abusive? Given that it's Baby Tiger we're talking about that really is a pretty easy request. -

Re: St. Patricks Day ELYSEUM Volunteer, Work/Trade list for 3/17
Fri, March 17, 2006 - 8:31 AMBeautiful plans Russell!
I want to introduce myself: I guess I'm the Volunteer and Talent Coordinator. This will be my first run in this position so like Jeanie said I too would appreciate help getting my groove on. I'll be at Mission Control at 6 to help set up and get a better feel for how the night is going to be organized so that maximum enjoyment can be had by all!
