funny how we get to this place
over and over and over again
like an episode worn out
from too many reruns
funny how things sometimes change
same things but somehow different
like our bedroom's been
rearranged

isn't it sad

yet doesn't it feel kinda good
like a 2nd, 3rd maybe 4th childhood?

we say we just can't go thru
"this" again
yet we set ourselves up to jump thru
this ring of fire
why we still can't understand

destiny?
it ain't maintenance free
"sweet pea"
or
"hunnie"
do we have to make a choice?

you say you wanna walk the fence
just a little while longer
what fence anyway?
and how does that make us stonger?
