The ELYSEUM Writers Wordshop has been going strong now for three years since it started in San Francisco. Every week a dedicated group of writers continue to join one another for writing exercise, critique and community at the Marsh Theater Cafe. The group has flourished in the City, boasting a number of published and award winning poets, novelists, journalists and publishers.

When the group’s founder, slam poet Russell Reza-Khaliq (Gonzaga), moved to Harbin Hot Springs nine months ago, he brought with him the seeds of ELYSEUM. Composed of both residents and guests of Harbin, a new group was cultivated in these fertile and creative grounds, overflowing with insight, passion and spirit.

Now, for the first time, San Francisco ELYSEUM and Harbin ELYSEUM combine for a special reading performance at the beautiful, picturesque Harbin Hot Springs featuring

Crescent Magazine publisher Kristine Anja Page

c|net journalist Emily Shurr

short story humorist James Saltzman

horror novelist Scott Brown

science writer Dr. Bosco Ho

Along with special guests from both ELYEUM writing communities.

We begin the reading with an open list. We encourage and invite you to participate. Please sign up early. Donations appreciated.
