Greetings from London.. The Great Mango Sensei has invited me to join -- here I am with a poem I wrote a long time ago (new ones to follow):

Honey Suckle Bumble Bee

Hello my honey suckle bumble bee
Buzz buzzing around my flower
Tingling my tippermost senses
Sending shivers down my stalk.
Come and feed on my nectar
And I will surround you with my purples and pinks and yellows
And entrap you with my sweet smell of silk and softness and love.
Come and taste the bounteous fruits of my soul
Rest yourself on my petals, ease the buzzing of your wings.

I like it when you feed from me,
Just as I like it when I am all alone
With just the wind as my companion
Who pushes me hard in the breeze
And sometimes aches to pull at my leaves
Who lifts all of my beautiful petals into the air
(some sometimes fly to the sky)
He tests my rooted strength.

The wind may weather me
But when the daylight comes and the sun shines on my face
You will still answer my dishevelled song
My beautiful honey suckle bumble bee
Who lives as freely as me
Hum-hums his way over to me
The joyous contentment from my roots to my stem
To the tip of my sepal
Is released in a puff of perfume
As my happy battered-by-the-breeze body
Welcomes the touch of my returning humble bumble bee

(if the tender tickling of your touch becomes too much for me sometimes
then leave me to the wind, who will blow back my senses
so that on your return my leaves will tremble in anticipation of your fuzzy touch.)

    I love this poem!
one of the greatest things about Star's poetry, though, which we cannot appreciate here, is its presentation when written...
She always does it in this great, lilting font that goes all over the page, with little pictures and stuff all over it.
    Its really wonderful...
Its still really wonderful just typed- so CAN YOU IMAGINE?
