For the big KickOff FunRazor on Jan. 21st, Gina Grandi has confirmed her appearance and solo performance!
Gina is a total sweetheart with a passion for justice. She is an Islamic feminist who fights for the rights of women in Islamic countries (as well as around the world). She articulates and expresses the anguish and struggles of sisters subjegated to overwhelming cultural and patriarchal oppression.
She also knows that there is innate power in being a woman and in having a womans body. Middle Eastern Bellydance is a celebration of feminine beauty and power. Gina graces us with her dancing skills and talents.

Also, my friend, Lola Shalom, will be doing a bit of movement art with her spoken word performance. Lola is the creator of SpiritualStretch: a workout on both the physical and the spiritual levels. A body builder and modern dancer who has been profoundly influenced by the great Isadora Duncan, Lola's movement and spoken word promise to entrance and entice!

Rauly and I grew up together. We did martial arts, breakdance AND Dungeons and Dragons! Rauly's dancing and choreography has won him praise from a great many people, including folks like Arnold Swarzenegger and George Lucas. He is currently working on a book about the martial arts roots of Hip Hop dance forms (pop, lock, breaking, crunk/clowning, ect.)
So, if you were worried about things getting too cerebral on the 21st... think again! Come to think of it, don't think! FEEL!
